We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for contributors to be part of the upcoming edited book titled “The Delivery Systems in Gene Therapy”, to be published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book will serve as a comprehensive resource, exploring innovative methods and technologies for the delivery of therapeutic genes to target cells.

Book Scope: The book will focus on three main areas:

I. Viral Delivery Systems

  1. Adenovirus
  2. Adeno-associated virus (AAV)
  3. Lentivirus
  4. Herpesvirus
  5. Poxvirus
  6. Retrovirus
  7. Human Foamy Virus (HFV)

II. Non-Viral Delivery Systems

  1. Extracellular Vesicles
  2. Peptide Delivery Systems
  3. Liposomes
  4. Polymeric Delivery Systems
  5. Synthetic Cationic Polymers
  6. Inorganic Nanoparticles (e.g., silicon, iron oxide)
  7. Transposon-Mediated Delivery
  8. Gelatin-Based Delivery

III. Physical Methods for Gene Delivery

  1. Electroporation
  2. Sonoporation
  3. Photoporation
  4. Magnetofection
  5. Microinjection

Eligibility:
We invite researchers, clinicians, and academicians with expertise in gene therapy, nanotechnology, or biomedical engineering to contribute chapters that align with the themes outlined above.

Timeline:

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 03.02.2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: 17.02.2025
  • Full Chapter Submission Deadline: 05.05.2025
