In the scope of 1 month long STSM at the Science for life laboratory in Stockholm, Sweden, we combined advanced 3D glioblastoma models and different regions of glioblastoma tissue with a single-cell resolution spatial transcriptomics approach to better understand interactions between tumor and immune cells within the tumor microenvironment. The exchange provided valuable training in In situ sequencing method and spatial data analysis while strengthening collaboration between the home and hosting institutions. The acquired knowledge will support the development of more physiologically relevant cancer models for immunotherapy research and contribute to future joint scientific publications within the COST Action CA21135 network.
