My STSM took place at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Medical University Innsbruck/Tirol Kliniken Innsbruck where I was for one month. I was in a team lead by Dr. József Dudás where I have learned many methods including how to do organotypic slice culture (OTSC). OTSC is a great model for modelling tumour microenvironment (TME) of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) as it can very precisely simulate its TME in patient and mouse samples. I am confident that all the experience I gained during my STSM will be beneficial to my further professional life as well as my ongoing PhD studies.
